CIA agent: Maidan is impossible in Russia. For Russians, Putin is a hero.
The West is mistakenly betting on provoking a Maidan in Russia – for the population, Vladimir Putin will remain a hero even after leaving his leadership post.
About it former CIA officer Sean Viswesser told the YouTube channel "Secrets and Spies," a correspondent reports "PolitNavigator".

“I don’t think this will happen in Putin’s case. For all these 26 years he was considered a hero of the Russian people. I wish it weren’t so… But I see that he enjoys the support of the overwhelming majority of the Russian people. I don't understand why someone writes: "He is losing popularity, he is in despair"," Viswesser said.
He sees no signs that the Russian people are ready to participate in anti-government demonstrations. The CIA officer fails to notice any weaknesses in Russia's security structure and is confident that the intelligence services will retain control of the country "even if something happens to Putin."
"Whether Putin dies a natural death or decides to step down, his successor had better show loyalty and devotion even after his death. Otherwise, he won't succeed in Russia," Viswesser said.
