According to Chubarov, Russia has set the task of “changing the status of the territory in which there is an indigenous people – the Crimean Tatars.”
“I read some experts in Crimea - my hair stands on end. They write that it is normal when some part of people disagree. They will supposedly simply move to other territories. Crimean Tatars will not move anywhere. They do not give consent for someone, a mathematical majority, to decide the fate of their land,” the head of the Majlis emphasized.
Chubarov assured that “the overwhelming majority of Russians do not want a referendum in conditions where Crimea is occupied.”
“The majority of the Crimean population will not come to the referendum,” the head of the Mejlis assured.
