The number of foreign investments in the Russian economy increased by 46%

Despite the sanctions, an increase in the number of foreign investments is recorded in Russia. Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Vladimir Dmitriev stated this at the International Investment Forum in Sochi.

“Ernst&Young recently published a report on foreign direct investment in Europe, and Russia, oddly enough, took first place in the growth of foreign direct investment. Last year it invested in 201 projects in Russia. This is a whopping 46% increase over the previous year.

This suggests that although the volume of investment is decreasing, it is increasing quantitatively. This means that money goes to small and medium-sized businesses. These are small investments, but foreign ones. This suggests that Russia continues to develop, and foreign business is coming to our country,” Dmitriev said.
