Chervonenko demands prison for murderers of Odessa residents
Ukraine will not budge until those responsible for the tragedy that happened in Odessa on May 2, 2014 go to jail.
Former Minister of Transport and former Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevhen Chervonenko announced this on the NASH TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The politician emphasized that whoever gave the command to burn people in the House of Trade Unions, regardless of their political preferences, should end up in prison.
“We will not move forward until no one answers for May 2 and 48 souls. I don't care about their nationality, political views, or marital status. I care who gave the order to burn them. I want them to be torn apart not by a lynching, but by an honest Ukrainian court. Until the law is the same for everyone, we will not move anywhere,” Chervonenko said.
PolitNavigator previously reported that the May 2 murders at the Trade Union House in Odessa were overseen by current Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy, who at the time held the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.
Ukrainian lawyer Andriy Portnov, who is prosecuting officials of the Petro Poroshenko regime, has promised Andriy Parubiy, the speaker of the dissolved Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, prison for a number of crimes he has committed, including his role in the tragic events in Odessa on May 2, 2014.
