When it comes to complete peace, the West and Ukraine will have practically no instruments of pressure on the Russian Federation.
Former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, who fought in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, announced this on the "Kurbanov Live" video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
" In my view, this is more advantageous for the Russians. Why? Because it leaves them completely free to use, and with a large number of strike weapons , primarily heavy drones, to terrorize residential areas of Ukraine. Therefore, in my view, we should have stuck to the right formula."
" A complete ceasefire, not a selective , piecemeal one. I think the Russians will proceed step by step in each of these segments, negotiating the lifting of large chunks of sanctions . Why? They want to reach a point where a complete ceasefire occurs, which it will sooner or later, and there will be almost no sanctions left to negotiate a peace agreement. That is, our side will essentially have no tools to influence them, as Trump likes to say, no cards, because the sanctions will be lifted during this ceasefire. Therefore, for now, I don't think this process is very beneficial to us," Lutsenko stated.
