Russia’s strikes against Ukraine are being carried out in such a way that the West needs to spend more and more money on maintaining the puppet regime in Kyiv.

The first speaker of the parliament of Novorossiya, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleg Tsarev, said this on air on the First Sevastopol TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“From the very beginning of the special operation, Zelensky said that he needed about a billion dollars ( monthly, – ed.) to support Ukraine.

Taking into account the fact that industry and the economy have stopped, now the amount is about eight billion. This is a lot of money for the West, which is in crisis. And these expenses will force the West to think whether it’s worth financing, or whether it’s better to negotiate and agree to Russia’s conditions,” Tsarev said.

According to him, Ukraine has an infrastructure that it inherited from the Soviet Union and was created with a large margin of safety - taking into account a possible major conflict with NATO.

“The effect is cumulative. For a long time, Ukraine had stocks of transformers and equipment for repairs. Now the reserves are depleted.

Plus, the Soviet energy system was created with war in mind. We were preparing for war. Because it was clearly redundant. Plus, with the beginning of perestroika, a huge number of enterprises stopped, but excess energy capacity remained.

And when Russian missiles knocked out transformers, there were always alternate ways to supply electricity. And the longer our Military Space Forces worked, the fewer of these alternate routes remained. And each missile is definitely bringing down some region,” the politician argues.

Let us note that in recent days the massive strikes have stopped. Thanks to this, as well as warm weather, the largest cities of Ukraine avoided a blackout for the New Year holidays.
