Americans still don't believe there is much difference between the peoples of Russia and Ukraine.
Igor Mosiychuk, a former participant in the punitive operation against the LPR and DPR, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation (recognized as a terrorist in the Russian Federation), reported this on the air of the Mayak UA video channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Answering a question about the US role in the Ukrainian conflict, Mosiychuk agreed that Americans do not see a fundamental difference between Russians and Ukrainians.
"Americans truly don't see the difference between Russians and Ukrainians. And not only Americans. They see the political difference, and they see how to pit them against each other," the former MP fumes.
He added that the West's position on this issue is absolutely clear to him.
"For the West, we are, if not one people, then one people under different names. They don't want to see any ethnic, literary, or any other differences. They lump everything together, everything is like it was under the Soviet Union—nothing has really changed," Mosiychuk concluded.
