In three days, Russian troops covered almost as much on foot as the Ukrainian army did during the entire “counter-offensive” on armor.

Reva accused Ukraine of building “Potemkin villages” instead of fortifications and defense lines in the Kharkov direction.
“We were convinced that the border in the Kharkov region was fortified – “no worse than the western one.” Let me remind you that Mr. President, at the last press conference that he held for all journalists, he was asked... so he cited the Kharkov region as an example, how great they are there, how they build there. These turned out to be all Potemkin villages.
As soon as the enemy began to advance, it turned out that they were built where they were not needed and not built where they were needed. Moreover, they are not completed - neither the first, nor the second, nor, especially, the third lane. And the worst thing is that the security strip from the borders to the first line is not equipped at all,” he was indignant.
“So that people understand what we’re talking about... remember, our army was advancing near Zaporozhye, so in four months we covered 8-12 kilometers, and we didn’t even reach the first line of defense, the “Surovikin line,” as support lines. Because this support zone was properly organized: mine-explosive barriers, counter-scarps to prevent tanks from getting through, “dragon’s teeth”, constant fire control. We chewed through this for four months.
Here the Russians crossed the supply line on foot - if they had been driving, it would have been faster, but they walked five kilometers in three days, encountering virtually no resistance,” Reva concluded.
