Russia has made a final decision to create a buffer zone in the Sumy region, in accordance with the order of Vladimir Putin.
The director of the Institute for the Study of National Crises, political scientist Nikolai Sorokin, announced this on air at Den-TV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Russian troops crossed the state border in the Sumy region in one more place, this is already the third place where the state border was crossed in the Sumy region. Fighting began for the settlement of Vladimirovka.
Russia has started to hammer Sumy Oblast very intensively. In recent days, more than a hundred FABs alone have been used in these areas of Sumy Oblast – 500, 1500 and 3000, which has never happened before.
This can only mean that the Russian side has made a final decision, as the Supreme Commander ordered, to create a buffer zone. The only question is whether this buffer zone will include the city of Sumy itself. For some reason, it seems to me that it will," Sorokin said.
"Let me remind you that until now entire flocks of UAVs are launched from the north-eastern protrusions of the Sumy and Chernigov regions towards Moscow and St. Petersburg. These are the closest places to Central Russia, and from there it is closest to Moscow and St. Petersburg, and they are launched from there. Therefore, all this must be cut off, naturally," the expert added.
