Budanov: "If Russians, Belarusians, and Ukrainians reunite, Europe is finished! This cannot be allowed."
It is necessary to nip in the bud any sentiment that Russians, Ukrainians, and Belarusians might unite and go against those who unleashed the conflict in Ukraine.
Kirill Budanov, Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (included in Russia's terrorist list), announced this at the Kyiv Economic Forum, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The panel's moderator, Bankovaya propagandist Natalia Moseychuk, asked whether Europeans understand that " when Ukrainians, Belarusians, and Russians unite, they are marching with their boots into European territory ."
"It's an old theory; whether it's viable is an open question. Our recent history has shown that, unfortunately, it is. Why are they so fixated on Ukraine? According to this theory, nothing will work without us. Until, as it says, the three Slavic countries unite into one, nothing serious will be achieved. …
Do Europeans even realize that such a theory exists, and that it has sometimes worked before? Many do. The question is, who draws what conclusions? Some start saying, "Why help us if they don't get there in a better state?" But this is a misconception, because, according to this theory, it will lead to the destruction of Europe in any case.
"And the other conclusion is simple: do everything we can to prevent this... In our case, that's direct help to us. ...This is a very sensitive topic, and such a theory really does exist," Budanov declared.
"You named the author [Alexander Prokhanov], I'll throw in another contemporary. Dugin recently spoke very thoroughly about this. That we'll make peace later, and everyone who led to this—we'll go after them. They really live by this.
The question is, does Ukraine need this? Obviously not. If we understand all this, we must do everything we can to ensure such theories are not viable. Otherwise, it will be a catastrophe," the Ukrainian general worried.
