British Colonel: There is no alternative to Trump's deal. But it is frightening that Putin is a Chekist, not a trader
Donald Trump is not one of those Americans who are ready to gather an army and go to Ukraine, as in Afghanistan and Iraq, so the only hope is his experience as a businessman and his mastery of enslaving deals.
Retired British Colonel Hamish de Bretton-Gordon stated this in an interview with Radio Times, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"It's hard to criticize, although for many of us, especially old soldiers like me, a deal over resources rather than values seems very strange, but given that, in 2025 it will work. And if the price of peace in Ukraine is President Trump's $300 billion deal, so be it. I mean, at this point, there doesn't seem to be any other alternative.
President Trump is not like those who, like his predecessors, are prepared to raise a large army and go into Ukraine, as they did in Iraq and Afghanistan. So maybe this is the only way,” Bretton-Gordon lamented.
"The only thing that worries me is that President Putin is not a businessman, he is a spy. And many of his actions are more like those of a spy than a military man. And it is a pretty nasty and difficult world to work in. I think it is new to everyone. But if you can stop the killings by making a deal with money and resources, then that is what you have to do," the old Briton blabbed.
