Britain boasted that it had reconciled Trump and Zelensky
With the resumption of American aid to Ukraine, Britain must redouble its efforts on the anti-Russian front.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated this while speaking in the House of Commons, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"After what happened [the row between Zelenskyy and Trump], my team and I began working to ensure full support for Ukraine. I can assure you that a huge amount of hard work, discussions, and diplomatic negotiations took place with all our allies and other countries to ensure that yesterday went as we had hoped ," Starmer said.
"I'm pleased we've made progress. I think this is very important for Ukraine, and I'm very pleased that the United States has supported Ukraine. I'm pleased with what we've achieved, but as always, we must go further. We must redouble our efforts to achieve a lasting and secure peace. And on Saturday, I'll gather international leaders to discuss how we can achieve international progress," the British prime minister added.
