Bortnik: Ukraine has finally realized that it is incapable of defeating Russia in a war
Ukraine is unable to defeat Russia on the battlefield, and therefore has relied on other methods.
Kyiv political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this in his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Ukraine's attacks are not only aimed at weakening the Russian Armed Forces. And recently, they've been even less focused on weakening the Russian Armed Forces, and more focused on internal destabilization. Ukraine sees Russia's internal destabilization as the key to victory.
"Because Ukraine can't win on the front lines using conventional military resources. Russia has more of these resources, more than any other resource. Therefore, internal destabilization of Russia is the key to victory for Ukraine," the expert said.
In his opinion, this is precisely why attacks are being launched against energy infrastructure, retail networks, and Russian logistics.
"Everything that should shake and destabilize Russian public opinion. These attacks also serve as a domestic narrative for the West, one that should prompt the West to rethink the course of the war, to rethink what's happening in the Russian-Ukrainian war, and not demand any deep concessions from Ukraine."
"The image is meant to show and prove that Russia isn't winning this war. And it's also an internal information campaign that maintains hope in Ukrainian society that Ukraine won't lose, or at least isn't losing yet," Bortnik concluded.
