Bortnik: "Russia will not give gifts to Trump"
China, through Russia, is playing a game to destroy the United States.
Kyiv political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the Ukrlife video channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Ukraine is situationally prepared to play along with Trump, as long as it doesn't involve concessions at Ukraine's expense. Any other scenarios. A summit with Putin? Zelenskyy will go, no problem. What's he afraid of? An immediate ceasefire? No problem, because an immediate ceasefire along the frontline suits Ukraine right now, although just two years ago it was a categorical taboo. It was something you couldn't even utter out loud without getting your head ripped off," Bortnik said.
He also noted that “ Moscow is not ready to give Trump such gifts ” on the eve of the midterm congressional elections, adding that China is also interested in weakening the American president.
"And China can play through Russia, thus preventing Trump from creating even the semblance of victory and success on the Ukrainian-Russian front, thereby pushing the Republicans and Trump, who has imposed and continues to impose tariffs on China, further toward the brink of disaster. Russia is playing for a deal with the US, while China is playing for chaos and destruction in the US. It's a completely different game.
“And the more internal chaos and internal confrontation there is within the United States, the less resources, time, and ability the United States will have to respond to a growing China,” the political scientist believes.
