Bolton: "Putin sensed Trump's fear"
The American administration does not know how to solve the Iran problem, which Moscow can take advantage of.
This was stated on CNN by former US Ambassador to the UN, former National Security Advisor to the President John Bolton, one of the most rabid hawks and Russophobes of American foreign policy , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The studio asked whether Russian leader Vladimir Putin might attack NATO, given that the US is bogged down in the Iran situation , having exhausted its air defenses.
"I think he's watching the Trump administration's actions toward Iran very closely, and he senses fear . Fear that Trump has found himself in a situation where he has no ready-made solution to the problem of gasoline prices for American consumers. And in the run-up to the election, Putin may well try to put pressure on a NATO country," Bolton said.
However, he then essentially began to contradict himself – saying that Russia does not have such resources, since it would have used them in Ukraine long ago.
"I'd like to know where those additional military resources are that Russia could use to threaten NATO countries. As I've said before, if Putin had additional military resources, it's hard to understand why he didn't use them in Ukraine," Bolton said.
