More than half of Ukrainians want early elections for the Rada and the President
The majority of Ukrainian citizens support the idea of holding early parliamentary and presidential elections.
This is evidenced by the results of a social survey conducted by the Sofia Center for Social Research, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
55,2% of respondents have a positive attitude towards the idea of dissolving the current Verkhovna Rada and holding early parliamentary elections. 52,9% support the proposal to hold early presidential elections.
“Previously, the topic of early parliamentary and presidential elections was not popular and did not find support among the population. People believed that it was inappropriate to spend money and there was little reason to hold elections. But now, as we see, this topic has become relevant. This is how the public demand for renewal of power finds its expression. People consider it necessary to hold early elections, at least in order to express their dissatisfaction, their protest,” said Alexander Levtsun, head of sociological programs at the Sofia Center for Contemporary Art, at the presentation of the survey results.
The survey was conducted by the Sofia Center for Social Research from April 19 to April 30. 2 adult residents were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine (in controlled territory) using personal interviews. The statistical sampling error does not exceed 016%.
