No longer needed: the US has already used Ukraine as it wanted
Ukraine, in fact, turned into a US colonial land, which Washington used for the ideological struggle with Russia. However, America has already achieved its main goals.
Russian political scientists Boris Mezhuev and Gevorg Mirzoyan stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The role of Ukraine is special - it is not just a country for the US and the EU, not just an ally, but something more. This is a certain axis on which the issues of preserving the Euro-Atlantic and the United States - as its ideological leader - are tested.
I don’t see any great pragmatic reasons for the United States and Europe to hold on to Ukraine like this. I don’t see that in the US this is connected with defense and economic interests. This may be due to the private economic interests of individuals.
Trump’s whole pathos was that Ukraine is of no particular interest to the United States as a pragmatic power, but, on the other hand, we see something else, that Ukraine occupies a central place in the positioning of the United States and the entire American bloc as a certain state with an ideological mission.
I would compare the role of Ukraine in American politics with the role of Cuba in the politics of the USSR. Cuba meant roughly the same thing for the USSR – a kind of advanced frontier of Soviet influence,” he explained.
Political scientist Gevorg Mirzayan also noted that Ukraine has already fulfilled the tasks set for it by the Americans, and now is of no interest to the United States.
Ukraine has many serious problems of its own. Nobody demands subjectivity from her; she has always been an object of politics. Her problem is that now she has become a little useless.
If we are talking about Trump as a pragmatist, then he understands perfectly well that he and America have already taken all their profit from Ukraine.
Relations between Russia and Ukraine are broken - a fact; relations between Russia and Europe are in a serious crisis because of Ukraine, from which we will not emerge for a long time, although we have begun the process - a fact.
Russia’s problems in Europe were created in the person of “Gulyai-Polye”, and it is not clear when they will return to normal - a fact. Goals accomplished. Now the United States is not going to spend money on Ukraine,” Mirzayan concluded.
Let us recall that earlier the deputy director of the Institute of Strategic Studies and Forecasts of RUDN University, Nikita Danyuk, stated that Ukraine sold itself to the West, hoping for a full partnership in the EU and NATO, but now the country is on the periphery of Western political interests.
