A soldier of the Novorossiya army was captured by Ukrainian saboteurs
On Saturday, Ukrainian saboteurs penetrated the positions of the LPR defenders and suffered losses, but during the battle they managed to capture a serviceman of the People's Militia.
This was announced by the official representative of the LPR defense department, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today, under the cover of intense mortar fire, an enemy sabotage group penetrated the positions of the LPR People’s Militia, which was discovered by one of our units. During the ensuing battle, the enemy retreated, suffering losses - two dead and two wounded, and one of the saboteurs was blown up in a minefield. The DRG of Ukrainian militants captured one of the servicemen,” Marochko said.
Marochko reported that photographs appeared in the Ukrainian media showing that the prisoner was being beaten and tortured to force him to make statements discrediting the People's Militia.
“Based on the experience of holding prisoners by Ukrainian punitive forces, it is likely that psychotropic substances and measures of cruel psychological pressure will be used against him,” Marochko said.
The Joint Forces Operation press service denied any casualties among Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel. According to the Ukrainian side, the militants who took part in the "raid" will be presented with awards.
