Botsan-Kharchenko: Kosovo Albanians have become insolent
The West blocked the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Serbia to prevent him from voicing Russia’s position on the Republic of Srpska and Kosovo.
Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko expressed this opinion today on the air of the radio station "Vesti FM", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
“One of the reasons for the reluctance of Lavrov’s visit is the smoldering (not yet hot) spots in the region.
This is an extreme reluctance to hear about the real state of affairs and Russia’s position on Bosnia and Kosovo,” the diplomat said.
According to him, the situation in Kosovo is still under control, but it could escalate at any moment.
“Pristina, due to the connivance of the West with well-known provocative policies and incitement, is constantly aggravating. If the Kosovo Albanians did not have the support of the West, they would breathe every other time. And now they have become insolent. And this tension is slowly growing. Thank God Vučić is taking a restrained and wise approach. He doesn’t engage in provocations and doesn’t react nervously,” the ambassador noted.
At the same time, according to him, the situation around Republika Srpska is very turbulent.
“They are pinning her down, incredible strangulation is happening. Yesterday I had Milorad Dodik at my reception, who told me in vivid colors what was happening. I can say, and I worked at the settlement stage, this has never happened - such impudence, such defiant behavior. Representatives of the West demand something without even bothering to read the peace agreements on Bosnia and Herzegovina - Dayton.
This is very reminiscent of the story of the Minsk agreements. They think that they can take it with impudence, impudence,” said Botsan-Kharchenko.
