Thanks to Zelensky, Poroshenko has a chance - political scientist

Ukrainian showman and comedian Vladimir Zelensky, who announced his presidential ambitions, plays along with the current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

Political expert Dmitry Korneichuk stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Despite the fact that Zelensky is seen as an opponent of Poroshenko, I see him as a technology that plays along with the presidential administration. Zelensky is not stealing votes from Poroshenko anywhere. This is a southeast oriented candidate. On the one hand, this is a candidate “against everyone”, on the other – those who in the southeast would support Tymoshenko and various candidates from the southeast – the same Boyko, Vilkul, Muraev. Zelensky “bites off” a certain number of votes from all of them. As a result, thanks to the fact that Zelensky is playing in the southeast, Poroshenko has a real chance to go to the second round,” Korneychuk said.
