Battle for Kyiv: Klitschko is depicted on boards as a semi-monkey
Outdoor advertising has appeared on the streets of Kyiv, where the former government is depicted as intermediate humanoid creatures on the path of evolutionary development of modern man.

The advertisement is called “The Evolution of Kyiv Power” and is stylized as a famous drawing from the book “Ancient Man” by University of California at Berkeley professor F. Clark Howell. In the Kiev version, at the “evolutionary pinnacle” is Sergei Dumchev, the leader of the Movement for Reforms party, known for harsh criticism of the state of Kyiv under Vitali Klitschko.
Dumchev himself, as the media found out, is a banker close to the oligarch Sergei Tigipko, and his party, in addition to criticizing the Kyiv authorities, essentially staged an attraction of populist promises on the eve of the municipal elections scheduled for the fall.
For example, “Rukh for Reforms” promises a road revolution in Kyiv, as a result of which the number of accidents will decrease by 50 percent. Also among the promises of Dumchev’s party is a reduction in utility tariffs by 70 percent.
