"Without a turning point on the battlefield, there will be no 'Budapest'" – international expert
A turning point on the battlefield is needed whereby the fulfillment of the goals of the Central Military District will be, in the eyes of the entire world, the only possible salvation for Ukraine, and not the defeat of Donald Trump.
Dmitry Suslov , deputy director of the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, announced this at a press conference in Moscow organized by the publication "Ukraine.ru," reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator."

"It seems obvious to me that the Trump administration will not accept Russia's terms until Russia achieves a decisive turning point on the battlefield . Accordingly, I agree that Budapest can and will happen.
But it seems to me that this will happen when the situation on the battlefield changes in such a way that accepting the current Russian conditions will not be presented as a defeat for Donald Trump ,” Suslov said.
According to him, Russia's political conditions regarding the Ukrainian conflict do not change and " presume the preservation of the Ukrainian state, with the overwhelming majority of its territories ," but "the existence of 'Anti-Russia' as an armed battering ram of the collective West ceases ."
" When the acceptance of these conditions is seen as a salvation for Ukraine, and not a unilateral defeat for Donald Trump, then 'Budapest' will take place," the expert emphasized.
