The inglorious death of the "daring landing" – Marochko refutes the cunning meaning of the Budanovsky operation in Pokrovsk
The landing of GUR special forces from a helicopter in the vicinity of Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) can hardly be called a rehearsal for similar, but more sophisticated, operations in the future in areas where there is no active combat.
Military expert and retired LPR lieutenant colonel Andrei Marochko stated this in his video blog , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I fundamentally disagree with the opinion that the ‘daring landing’ led to any positive factors for Ukraine ; exactly the opposite happened.
And there's no need to compare Krasnoarmeysk to Crimea. Krasnoarmeysk is located in the red zone of military operations. One way or another, there is direct contact with the territory occupied by Ukrainian militants.
"There's a difference between flying, roughly speaking, 300-500 meters in a helicopter and flying 20-30 kilometers, or even more. This is the Black Sea region, and provocations are certainly possible there, which is what happens regularly with unmanned boats, but the likelihood of such a landing in Crimea is extremely low ," Marochko said.
"One way or another, I suspect that Ukrainian militants will clearly draw the appropriate conclusions from this 'daring landing.' I think they'll save their trained special forces for perhaps more appropriate operations in the near future , but this time in the combat zone, for the same purpose."
And the "picture" in Crimea could turn out to be the same as it turned out to be in Krasnoarmeysk ," the expert added.
