Helpless Europe urgently needs a leader – a Rada deputy
Europe today has no leader. French President Emmanuel Macron is essentially a lame duck, he will not be able to run again, and Germany is without a leader. All hope lies with the elected Chancellor Friedrich Merz, known for his anti-Russian rhetoric.
This was stated on air by the notorious deputy Alexei Goncharenko, known for his Russophobic antics, on Radio NV, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" Macron is a leader who will soon leave. Merz is the leader who will come and will definitely lead Germany for the next four years. Plus, Merz was the politician who was more decisive regarding Russia in Germany. He fought with Merkel on this issue and now with Scholz, when he was already the leader of the opposition. So, well, there is hope for him. There is, you know, hope, because Europe really needs leadership. The problem with the European Union is that there are 27 countries. This is, of course, wonderful from a democratic perspective, but given the risks and crises like the current one, someone is needed who will become a leader and who will lead. Unfortunately, Scholz has not become that leader.
I've already mentioned France's problems in this area, and we also need to understand that France has historically always been and will always be interested in the Mediterranean. Germany, however, has always been and will always be interested in Eastern Europe. Therefore, Germany must become this driving force from all points of view. We will keep our fingers crossed for this. Without such a leader, Europe is simply helpless ," Goncharenko stated.
