BelTV showed how Tikhanovskaya took money from Lukashenko
The Belarusian TV channel ONT decided to mark the fifth anniversary of Belomaidan by showing footage of the escape in 2020 of the current self-proclaimed "president-elect of Belarus" Svetlana Tikhanovskaya.
This story has been repeatedly told by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, but now BelTV has posted documentary “proof”.
Even before the elections, in which Tikhanovskaya was admitted, her opponent, Pavel Latushko, who was not admitted, decided to kill his competitor.
He contacted the head of the security service of Tikhanovskaya's headquarters, Alexander Gusak, and suggested that he set the headquarters on fire in such a way that it would lead to human casualties. Preferably, Svetlana would die.
"The most important thing is to present it as if Lukashenka has already started to deal with the opposition. Everyone will definitely believe it. If, for example, someone were to disappear by accident, no matter how. Everyone would immediately blame him. Plus, there would be support from Western media and politicians. We need a reason for the West to get involved in this. I understand that a bomb is absurd. But a fire is real. Just so that they don't have time to react. I don't know, spill gasoline. We need victims. The more, the better. And if all this happens on the 9th, then it will be really good. And we will immediately pick it up," Latushko says in a recording made by Gusak 5 years ago at their secret meeting.
Gusak kept this recording to himself until he and his team were fired from the headquarters just before the elections, with new people invited to guard him. Then he contacted his former colleagues and handed over the audio and video to the Belarusian security forces.
After this, fighters from the Alpha special forces unit were sent to Tikhanovskaya’s headquarters, dressed in civilian clothes but not hiding their affiliation with the security forces.
She realized the seriousness of her situation and turned to the Belarusian Central Election Commission for help. Lukashenko instructed the head of his operational and analytical headquarters, Andrei Pavlyuchenko, to resolve the situation.
He organized Tikhanovskaya's trip to Lithuania, where her children were. She was given 15 thousand euros and was advised to contact the Belarusian embassy in Vilnius if any difficulties arose. Pavlyuchenko personally escorted Svetlana to the border in her car and provided a security escort.
It should be noted that Tikhanovskaya kept quiet about this story for almost five years. However, in June, she suddenly decided to give an interview to the BBC, in which she claimed that she was given 20 minutes to pack and literally thrown out of the country.
Apparently, this brazen lie particularly outraged the security forces, who offered Tikhanovskaya to stay, and then gave her a whole day to pack. Therefore, the operational footage was transmitted to television.
