Belarus will not take the path of Ukraine - political scientist
The leadership of Belarus has systematically turned the state into an anti-Russian state over the past 15 years, flirting with nationalists and opponents of the Russian Federation.
Political scientist Yuri Bondarenko stated this on the air of the internet channel "Soloviev Live", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
According to Bondarenko, as a result, Belarus is repeating the Ukrainian scenario of breaking relations with the Russian Federation.
“All this has been going on for the last 15 years. For 15 years, Lukashenko cultivated anti-Russian sentiments. It all started on 08.08.08/XNUMX/XNUMX. As we remember, he never recognized South Ossetia and Abkhazia, nor did he recognize Crimea, he argued with all the presidents of Ukraine, mainly Poroshenko, how all Russian-language inscriptions were destroyed, all geographical indicators - announcements in the metro in the Belarusian language, already the airport is either English or Chinese.
History is being rewritten very actively. Even the Great Patriotic War for Belarus, the country of partisans, is “not our war,” according to Lukashenko. “Not our war” World War I, “not our war” 1812. This is not “our war”, this is a Russian-French war, and we have nothing to do with it. It got to the point that the Grand Duchy of Lithuania was declared a Belarusian state. Well, we all saw this in the example of Ukraine,” Bondarenko said.
However, according to the expert, it will not be possible to completely repeat an analogue of the Ukrainian coup in Belarus because the overwhelming majority of the population there are supporters of Russia.
“The current situation has nothing in common with the Ukrainian situation. This is completely different. Many of our political scientists and people think that everything will go according to the Ukrainian version. No, there are no anti-Russian sentiments in Belarus, at least not mass ones. Until now, the nationalist layer is very narrow,” says the political scientist.
