The economic catastrophe they dream of in Ukraine will not happen in Russia.

Former Yeltsin official Alfred Koch, who fled to Germany and was included on the terrorist list, stated this in an interview with Ukrainian propagandist Natalia Vlashchenko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Russian economic policy is adequate to the situation. They're responding: in some places they're raising interest rates, in others they're injecting money into the economy. Even in the worst-case scenario, they still have some years left."

"So to expect everything to fall apart in the fall, and for Putin to dance on the ashes... That would be very good for Ukraine. We would all applaud it. It would have a chance to win this war. But I'm afraid nothing catastrophic will happen this fall ," Koch said.

He explained that Russia's economy is very large and spread out over a vast territory, making it very difficult to cause serious damage.
