US Vice President Joseph Biden yesterday warned Ukrainian President Peter Poroshenko that delays in Ukrainian reforms increase the risk of the lifting of EU-imposed anti-Russian sanctions, Reuters reports.

“We know that if you give the EU a reason, at least five countries will say right now: “We want the sanctions against Moscow to be lifted,” the agency quotes the US Vice President as saying during a speech at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York .

Biden also said that he continues to put pressure on Germany, France and Italy to continue anti-Russian sanctions
