"Azov" trained by Americans and NATO since 2015 - "Kraken" leader
The ambiguous attitude in the United States towards the Azov Nazis in 2015 did not prevent the Americans from training the militants of this group.
This was stated in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda by Konstantin Nemichev, founder of the special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine "Kraken", which was formed by the Nazis and is banned in the Russian Federation, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"It was the summer [of 2014], we went through a two-week course for young fighters. Before that, I had never even held a machine gun, there they taught us at least some skills, tactics, we were trained by Alpha officers. And after that, we went to Donbass. Ilovaisk, Pavlopil, Shyrokyne - a lot of operations in which, first of all, we gained the experience that we needed in 2022.
"It was a very cool training. In 2015, I held the position of deputy battalion headquarters, when there was already a regiment ["Azov"], we took courses. NATO Americans came, who taught us staff culture, management, and this was very necessary in 2022," Nemichev said.
