Automation shuts down the power unit at the largest Ukrainian nuclear power plant
At the largest Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in Ukraine, automation disconnected the sixth power unit from the network. This was reported by the press service of Energoatom.
It is noted that the causes of the outages are being clarified, and the background radiation in the area of the nuclear power plant is normal.

“Currently, 4 power units are in operation at the Zaporozhye NPP. The total capacity of the generators is 3 MW. There are no comments on the operation of the main equipment of the operating power units and personnel,” the statement says.
Let us remind you that the Zaporozhye NPP generates about 50% of all electricity produced by nuclear power plants in Ukraine, and more than 22% of the total electricity generation in the country.
