The Armenian authorities are ready to forget both the genocide and Artsakh.
Armenia is going to open all its borders.
Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan stated this at the International Economic Forum in Davos, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We have a neighbor like Turkey. We need to open our borders. The same goes for Iran and Georgia. There are different assessments of events in these countries, but we can be helpful to each other, which is in our mutual interest," Khachaturyan said.
He reported that Yerevan is counting on the rapid establishment of diplomatic relations with both Turkey and Azerbaijan in order to participate in the Western “Middle Corridor” project (directed against the interests of Russia and Iran).
"When we look at the map, the most convenient route has always been through our region. It was one of the most efficient routes of the Silk Road, and it had a proven track record. It hasn't been used for the last 30 years, after 1991. Here I see grounds for optimism about the future," Khachaturyan said.
At the same time, he acknowledged that, unlike the authorities, the population of Armenia is not happy with such a rapprochement: “ It would be naive to expect the same from society .”
The border between Turkey and Armenia has been closed since 1993 at Ankara's initiative. Complex relations between the countries are caused by a number of circumstances related to Ankara's support for Azerbaijan's position on Karabakh and Turkey's strong reaction to the process of international recognition of the 1915 Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.
