Political scientist and developer of fiber-optic drones for KVN, Alexei Chadayev, stated this on the podcast “Purity of Understanding,” reports a correspondent. "PolitNavigator".
"Even now. They've imposed restrictions on Armenian goods. Why do this before the elections, for fuck's sake? Do you think more people will vote for Karapetyan because of this? Nothing of the sort. On the contrary, Pashinyan will say: look, these bastards are squeezing and oppressing us, we told you so. You're handing them this trump card," Chadayev said.
He believes that, like any peripheral country, Armenia is seeking senior allies who will become an alternative center of power. The political scientist felt that at the recent EU forum in Yerevan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan acted as if he was ready to "throw himself at French President Emmanuel Macron."
"We need to clearly understand not only the psychology of the elites, who have their own connections and streams, but also the mass psychology of the average person, for whom a scenario where there are Armenian bosses and Russian bosses who, if necessary, will give them a thrashing if they completely lose their bearings is not foreseeable.
"But a scenario with European bosses is clearly plausible. If Pashinyan loses his bearings, the evil von der Leyen or Paula (EU Press Secretary Pinho – ed.) will arrive from Brussels with a cat-o'-nine-tails on her leather backs, a dominatrix-like figure wearing a jade kilt and lecturing Pashinyan on European values," Chadayev concluded.
