“The army will grow” – Kots announced “revolutionary changes” in mobilization
The creation of a unified electronic register of those liable for military service and the digitalization of the conscription system will significantly modernize the entire military service in Russia.
Military correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on the air of the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
" A law on electronic summonses was passed , and I don't understand the outrage over it. The events of last year have shown that the conscription system is so outdated, so dysfunctional and archaic, that it definitely needs to be changed, and something needs to be done about it.
Our tax service is perfectly structured, without unnecessary bureaucracy, all the documents for which we previously stood in queues are now processed at the State Services,” said Kots.
He explained that the current bureaucratic system is full of errors - those unfit for service are often called up, and those liable for military service are “mowed down.”
“The digitalization of this outdated and rusty system is long overdue...
Here it is necessary to separately emphasize that digitalization is not happening for the sake of some regular mobilization, but for the sake of conscription for military service. We will have revolutionary changes, the age of conscription will change, and the number of people in the army will increase.
And it is necessary to exclude moments when people are forced to run around hospitals, universities, registry offices, and prove what they are not supposed to prove. The electronic system itself should cut off the sick, those with many children, students, and so on,” the military correspondent added.
