Arestovich: There will be no air ceasefire; Odesa and Zaporizhzhia face difficult times until spring 2027.
There's no chance of forcing Russia to agree to an "air ceasefire." Fierce fighting will continue until at least the spring of 2027, and residents of Zaporizhia and Odesa should prepare for difficult times.
Former Zelenskyy Office adviser Alexei Arestovich , who is on the Russian Federation's list of terrorists and extremists, made this statement on his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Is there the slightest chance of a ceasefire in the air? Not the slightest chance—we must prepare for a very difficult autumn, a difficult winter, and the individual survival of families and individual households. And how you will do this depends on you...," the speaker warned the "citizens."
Arestovich believes that one of the goals of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on Crimea is an attempt to slow the advance of the Russian Armed Forces toward Zaporizhia.
He also believes that the Russian Armed Forces " at a minimum level necessary to present to Russian society " is to drive the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the remaining part of Donbass – Slavyansk and Kramatorsk – only then will Moscow be ready to return to negotiations.
"It depends on Ukraine how we will confront each other on the battlefield, whether we will be able to hold on to the Donetsk region, and how we will conduct a strategic campaign to disrupt the Russian rear... We are now in a long and very fierce, large-scale race through each other's rear areas, on the front line, which will last until approximately April-May 27 ," ranted Arestovich, who himself had long ago fled Ukraine for the West.
