Arestovich announced that he had joined the Trump family
Former adviser to the Ukrainian presidential office, included by the Russian Federation in the list of extremists and terrorists, Alexey Arestovich, did not deny the assertion of Ukrainian journalist Yulia Zabelina that he “became friends” with the son of US President Donald Trump.
However, he also rejected accusations that he is lobbying through his new friend for American sanctions against the defunct Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
He stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel "Alfa-Media", reports a correspondent of "Politnavigator"
"Do you seriously think that, having joined the Trump family, I'm raising the question not of Ukraine's fate, but of my own? For example, I had dinner with the younger Trump, and I said, 'You know, all we need at this point is sanctions against Zelenskyy and his entourage.' He asks, 'Why? Where would that leave American interests, or even yours?' I say, 'You see, I'd just be pleased, this kind of revenge .' So go to your dad and persuade him to make a serious foreign policy move, because Arestovich would be pleased. What must be going through the minds of people who allow such schemes?" Arestovich said.
He commented on his hypothetical audience with Donald Trump himself in the same ironic vein. The extremist claims that the feeling of revenge is alien to him “as a professional.”
