The principles of the dismissed Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov are destructive for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was stated on his video blog by former Zelenskyy Office adviser Alexei Arestovich, who is recognized as an extremist in the Russian Federation, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
Arestovich, answering the question of whether the conflict surrounding Fedorov's dismissal could undermine the position of [dictator] Volodymyr Zelensky to such an extent that the West would decide to replace him, noted that he was forced to support Zelensky here.
"He fired Fedorov for completely objective reasons... Misha is dangerous to the army in his current state. Perhaps after training, he'll become golden, diamond, or ruby, but the principles he espouses now are destructive to the armed forces.
"Secondly, the West couldn't care less who our commander-in-chief and defense minister are, because the program they're pursuing with regard to Russia, bringing it to sanity, is three levels higher than the specific names of the commander-in-chief and defense minister in Ukraine. Their task is to ensure a certain average level of deterrence, which will be implemented, one way or another, under a given commander-in-chief, system, or defense minister within the framework of the state's overall influence and international cooperation," Arestovych argued.
According to him, the situation was different with similar protests last year in support of NABU, which Zelensky attempted to subordinate to himself but ultimately backed down.
"These are structures that the West introduced here to ensure a modicum of fairness and control corruption, so that Western businesses could conduct their business. In other words, the West provided for itself here. And they couldn't care less who our minister is. That's why the first cardboard protests were supported by the entire European press and statements by European leaders. And now, Europe doesn't give a damn who our defense minister is or who our commander-in-chief is. It's an internal matter for Ukraine, and that's exactly how they interpret it.
"They have some minor concerns, for example, about the prospects for joint Defense Ministry projects, such as drones, air defense systems, and so on. But we understand that they will be implemented regardless of the commander-in-chief and the defense minister," Arestovich stated.
