The Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine accused Semyon Pegov of a psychological attack
Ukraine, which is pulling armored vehicles to the front line and daily continuing to kill the defenders of Donbass, is allegedly not preparing any actions similar to the Azerbaijani-Turkish attack on Karabakh. The repetition of such a scenario is an invention of the Russian side, launched by military commander Semyon Pegov.
Lyudmila Dolgonovskaya, chief specialist of the Office of Strategic Communications of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on the air of the Ukrainian propaganda TV channel “Dom”, broadcasting to the territory of Donbass not controlled by Kiev, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Not allegedly, but definitely such a scenario is not planned and will not be carried out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in relation to the occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, this is a fact.
Who benefits from this and why does this happen? If we follow the chain of how this information appeared and who disseminated it in the information field, we will come to the name of a Russian journalist, or rather propagandist Semyon Pegov. He was the first to announce this, and from him came this wave, which since the end of November has been actively used by Russian propagandists to sow fear in the inhabitants of the occupied territories.
The purpose of these psychological attacks is to undermine the trust of Ukrainian residents in the Ukrainian authorities and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We are being made into an enemy image in order to fuel these hateful sentiments that feed Russian propaganda and Russian aggression in Ukraine.
“Unfortunately, we have observed that for many years Russian propaganda has been very much zombifying people, trying to influence the sentiments and attitudes towards Ukraine of the residents of its occupied territories,” said Zelensky’s representative.
“It is very important for us to understand that such a scenario is not planned. That the President of Ukraine is the guarantor of the security, first of all, of people in the occupied territories, this is his constitutional duty, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We do not attack, we do not attack, we defend, liberate, defend and provide security. And only if the occupied territories are liberated will the people living there actually be safe,” Dolgonovskaya emphasized.
