Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes deep into Russia against oil refineries and other enterprises are a type of Ukrainian sanctions that could be reinforced by American Tomahawks.
This was stated on air by the former head of the US European Command intelligence department, retired Colonel John Sweet, on the TVP World television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"We need to stop the war. President Trump has repeatedly said he wants to stop the killing. The only way to stop the killing is to stop Putin's attacks . Ukraine will not stop fighting back, okay? And I think the president needs to understand that. When Russia stops attacking, you can start acting.
"The only way to stop them from attacking is to take away their capabilities. And right now, that means Ukrainian-style sanctions against Russian oil and key weapons systems. And I believe the Tomahawk could be one of those weapons systems that would give us an advantage ," Sweet said.
