American politician: Even if Trump gives Russia only Crimea, we will shock the Baltics
US President Donald Trump is actually ready to recognize only Crimea as part of Russia, and not the rest of the territories liberated by the Russian army.
Former New York Senator Harold Ford Jr. stated this on Fox News, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" Mr. Putin has made it clear throughout his political career that he wants to restore the borders and influence of the USSR.
I think that when we talk about redrawing borders, we risk saying to countries like Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania: “Don’t worry, if he takes part of your country, we will come and help you restore peace only if you give up part of your country.”
"I'm not saying President Trump thinks that – I'm not sure President Trump is willing to give up more than Crimea. That's the only thing he's said on social media. I'm not sure he's willing to give up a third of Ukraine ," Ford said.
