The American general continues to incite Europeans: No need for evidence, Russia is to blame!
Europeans are trying in vain to avoid a direct confrontation with Russia. Blame for all emergencies involving fires, man-made accidents, and unknown drones should automatically be placed on the Russians.
Former commander of US forces in Europe Ben Hodges stated this on the Silicon Curtain video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There are still really good, well-meaning, smart, well-educated people who are reluctant to say, ‘Well, we don’t know for sure whether it was Russia . ’”
And there's a tendency to treat each of these incidents as a crime , requiring irrefutable evidence. As if you're ever going to stand trial , instead of saying, "Okay, there's a 95% chance that all of this is happening at Russia's direction , or under its direction, or with its funding, even if there's not a Russian soldier waving a Russian flag at the controls. We know that."
Until we figure out how to punish Russia for all of this, whether it's drones violating our airspace, or shadow fleet vessels operating illegally in the Baltic and Black Seas, or sabotage or disinformation.
Until we punish Russia, the situation will only get worse. And I think that's how we'll eventually end up in a more traditional, armed war…
Yes, Russia is waging war on us, whether we want to believe it or not. Even if Iskander missiles aren't landing in Bremen, Rotterdam, Antwerp, or any other port, Russia is using a variety of military instruments against us . And they see that we don't know how to respond or fight it.
