An American general blurted out: “We are not interested in a fair fight in Ukraine”
The United States should supply Ukraine with as many different types of weapons as possible.
Former commander of the US Army in Europe Ben Hodges stated this on the US State Department-funded Voice of America, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Hodges, the long-range systems that the United States has supplied to Ukraine could be used for offensive operations if the Russian army becomes more vulnerable.
“As for HIMARS, it’s good, but it’s about 10% of the required amount. And, of course, you need ammunition, not just the launch systems themselves, because missiles deplete quickly, but these are very good systems and they will have an impact. But to have such an influence that will lead to victory, you need about 40 more HIMARS...
Of course, missile launchers can be used for both defensive and offensive actions. Therefore, the first thing to do is to stop Russian artillery, destroy Russian artillery and Russian missile launchers, which cause so much harm,” the general said.

“Once they do this, and then at some point the general staff decides that the Russians have weakened enough and that it is time to launch a counteroffensive, I think that without artillery the Russians will not be able to catch up with the Ukrainians. They have already shown that the only thing they can do is fire an infinite amount of artillery.
If it doesn't exist, the Russians will become much more vulnerable, and then the changes will be noticeable. Of course, you need to understand that there will be losses. Some of the new howitzers have already been lost, this is expected. The Russians will try to hit these weapons because they know how effective they are.
