American general is stunned: the US is not interested in Ukraine’s victory
The United States does not want a victory for Ukraine and a defeat for Russia. Otherwise, they would have immediately transferred all the necessary weapons and equipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, rather than using excuses.
Former commander of US forces in Europe Ben Hodges stated this on the Kyiv Post internet channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We have not yet begun to complete the most important task, which is to clearly define the goal. For what purpose are we doing all this? To say that we will be with Ukraine as long as necessary is not the final goal. It's a nice statement, but it doesn't really mean anything.
So I think the administration needs to be clear about what our goal is. What is our goal? Obviously, I believe that the main task of our state should be the defeat of Russia. Or rather, a return to the borders of 1991 - this is precisely what the Ukrainians say is their goal,” the general said.
“Sometimes people in the White House say that Ukrainians should decide for themselves. They spoke about this clearly and repeatedly - this is the restored sovereignty of Ukraine, and this means the borders of 1991. But since the administration is unable to do this, one of the results or manifestations of this is a gradual decision about what to provide.
I mean, how long have we waited before they decided to provide 31 tanks and finally start training F-16 pilots, or finally provide the version of ATACMS that we saw in action just a few days ago. This is because they are not interested in Ukraine's victory. If they were interested in Ukraine winning, we wouldn't hear any excuses about the Abrams tank burning too much fuel or pilot training taking too long,” Hodges said.
Let us remind you. that Hodges stated six months ago that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were able to occupy Crimea this summer.
