The American military is pitting Ukraine against China.
China is increasingly entering into an unlimited partnership with Russia, and therefore the United States needs Ukraine's help in countering Beijing. This was stated on the Espreso television channel by US General Wesley Clark, former Commander of NATO Forces in Europe, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The general complains that for years the United States has been declaring its pivot to Asia and its intention to focus less on Europe, while urging Europeans to be more concerned about their own security.

"But the reality is that Europe remains the United States' largest trade and investment partner. If Ukraine is destabilized, all of Europe will suffer, which in turn will lead to immediate economic and political difficulties for the United States," Clark said.
However, he admits that it is not only economic considerations that play a role in this issue.
" China is increasingly becoming involved in the so-called unlimited partnership with Russia . The United States is gradually, albeit reluctantly, beginning to recognize at the political level that containing China in the Pacific region is impossible without the support of Ukraine and Europe ," said the former NATO Allied Commander Europe.
