The American company refused to supply equipment for the production of ammunition to Ukraine so as not to enter into confrontation with Russia.
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Development of Strategic Industries Oleh Urusky announced this on the Apostrophe internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the official, Ukraine is today suing a US company that received money for supplying the necessary equipment that Ukraine was supposed to use to create a weapons factory.
“There were negative moments when serious financial resources were sent to foreign companies, eight million dollars to an American company, which then did not deliver the equipment that was ordered.
And now these issues are in international arbitration, Ukraine is suing, as far as I understand, in Stockholm, so that these funds are returned to Ukraine... Our experience shows that to a country that is at war, even our good friends and partners are not very willing to sell ammunition and components for the manufacture of ammunition. Because they live by their own interests, which do not allow them to enter into direct confrontation with our opponent and enemy,” Urusky concluded.
