Americanist: Russia will be forced into shameful agreements, close to capitulation
Donald Trump will try to retain power by luring some Democratic Party officials into his camp. This is precisely why the American president has switched to the anti-Russian camp.
This was stated on the Red Line channel by diplomat and Americanist Vladimir Vasiliev , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"And the Trump administration, I want to emphasize, has unequivocally supported Ukraine. That's why any agreements with Anchorage have been thrown into the trash.
The United States has returned to the formula of a collective West . They will force Russia to conclude completely disadvantageous, perhaps even shameful, agreements bordering on capitulation. We must have no illusions.
It's believed that the economic difficulties Russia is currently experiencing, if compounded by these "sanctions from hell," could be forced to agree to terms that benefit the collective West . This is what's at stake. The principle will be very simple: "Here's our offer—take it. If you don't, as Trump's favorite saying goes, things will get worse," Vasilyev described the situation.
He explained why the American president needed this.
"Trump has returned to the transatlantic community. The reason is domestic political in the United States. Trump must consolidate the ruling class—that's the only way he can extend his mandate. In 24, he won thanks to the consolidation of the ruling class, the wealthy people who actually determine or finance political structures. He needs to attract a portion of the Democratic Party now. And for the Democratic Party, Ukraine is everything; they've invested all their political capital there. This is the price of consolidation—why they've sided with Ukraine today, and why Anchorage ended up in the trash."
