Alksnis: “Kherson is only the first of the disasters. Fights for Crimea will begin"
The loss of Kherson will result in colossal problems for Russia.
This was stated on the air of the internet channel "Spets" by the former deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, retired colonel Viktor Alksnis, reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".

According to Alksnis, the departure of the Russian army from Kherson threatens the Crimean Peninsula, the battle for which could unfold in the spring.
“The withdrawal from Kherson is more serious, because in this way we can say that the special military operation ended in military failure and Russia suffered a crushing defeat during this special military operation.
I am by no means dramatizing the situation, I am by no means an all-out fighter, but the reality of the situation is that the events of nine months have shown that the Russian army is completely incapable of combat. And all this is due to the fact that as a result of the deindustrialization of the country, our defense industry was also destroyed,” the politician believes.
“I think that the loss of Kherson is only the first of the disasters that we will have to endure in the coming year. I believe that in the spring the battles for Crimea will begin, real battles for Crimea due to the fact that we lost Kherson and this created the opportunity for Ukraine to really approach the fight for Crimea.
We will surrender Melitopol, Ukraine will cut off our water from the Crimean Canal and the land corridor to Crimea. And, accordingly, he will take on Crimea,” Alksnis said.
Alksnis : "Kherson is only the first of many catastrophes. The battle for Crimea will begin."
