Aksyonov spoke about the difficult situation with the found water supplies for Crimea
Before the New Year holidays, specialists will complete an examination of the water reserves for Crimea discovered beneath the Sea of Azov, previously mentioned by President Vladimir Putin.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksyonov, announced this at a press conference in Simferopol, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“From the point of view of the Sea of Azov, all relevant structures have, in fact, begun to justify the work there. I cannot name some due to the sanctions regime. Therefore, the process has already begun; by the end of the year we will summarize what has been done in terms of justifying the possibility of water production, its quality, and so on.
The work goes on every day, the situation does not change - this is the main source of water, we just need to decide what quality it is so that it does not have to be desalinated separately. It is possible that there will be a large amount of impurities, solid particles, and so on, so that a separate desalination plant for this water does not have to be built,” Aksyonov explained.
