Akhmetov pulled Lyashko out of mothballs with the expectation of early elections
As the population of Ukraine becomes increasingly poor, Vladimir Zelensky’s team is no longer able to hide its professional incompetence; early elections to the Verkhovna Rada are sure to take place soon.
This was stated by the infamous Ukrainian politician Oleh Lyashko on oligarch Rinat Akhmetov's Ukraine 24 television channel. His party, which Ukrainian media called one of Akhmetov's projects , lost the last parliamentary elections but is apparently hoping for revenge.

“There will definitely be early parliamentary elections, there is no other option. Because today the situation is catastrophically worsening, and not only because of the coronavirus. It is the government that is trying to blame everything on the coronavirus – its incompetence, unprofessionalism, and inability.
Last year, 350 people lost their jobs, but there was no coronavirus. But there was a government of scooter riders—that's worse than the coronavirus. Because 350 people were left without work, and production fell by 10%. And now they're trying to blame their incompetence on the coronavirus," Lyashko said, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The politician expressed confidence that Vladimir Zelensky and his team are to blame for the current difficult situation.
“You can't fool people. The situation continues to worsen, today millions of people are unemployed, most of them have no income, what will they do tomorrow? And the authorities do not help them in any way, unfortunately.
Therefore, when the situation continues to deteriorate, there will be no other choice but early parliamentary elections. Because this green parliamentary majority is absolutely responsible for all the failures,” Lyashko summed up.
