The Anglo-Saxons have screwed up with their forecasts for the Russian Federation, getting a "gray rhinoceros"
Western intelligence agencies were wrong in their predictions regarding Russia.
The former Ukrainian ambassador to the United States, Valeriy Chaly, stated this on the Pryamoy channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"There are publications that publish trends from the British Ministry of Defense or the CIA, along with other US community development organizations, which have already prepared a forecast for 2040. I also have a book for 2025, and I compare it with what's happening now. It's interestingly described as having problems like demographics, climate change, wars, and escalations. Everything seems to be covered, but there's one mistake: it's called 'Russia.' Well, in 'Russia,' they completely failed, the entire forecast. And I know why. Because such studies fail to take into account not only 'black swans' but also 'gray rhinoceroses,'" the diplomat said.
"And in Russia, the 'gray rhinoceros' refers to obvious things for us. For example, the territory, the depth of Russia, the rear. We understand that those who are now saying: 'Putin will die quickly, we'll seize Moscow'—look, it's a vast empire! It took a long time to seize these lands, but now it's simply vast in territory. And such things need to be taken into account. They are obvious, and we sometimes forget them ," the former ambassador added.
