The Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service, which is entrusted with important tasks, is truly reeling from constant personnel changes.

Mykhailo Tkach, a Kyiv investigative journalist close to the Soros faction and one of the "flush tanks" of Ukraine's so-called anti-corruption agencies, told Ukrainska Pravda about this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The broadcast raised the topic of the appointment of Rustem Umerov, a defendant in the high-profile corruption case known as "Mindichgate," to the post of head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine. Umerov previously held the positions of head of the State Property Fund, Minister of Defense, and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

"The situation with the Foreign Intelligence Service has been tragicomic for the last six months, maybe even longer. If we look at the dynamics of appointments to this service, I'll repeat that potential agents of this service are supposed to be assigned to certain people they trust.

Accordingly, we understand that there was Mr. Litvinenko. Then Mr. Litvinenko was appointed to the National Security and Defense Council. Now, I believe, he is Ukraine's ambassador to Serbia. Then the current head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense [Oleg Ivashchenko] came to power. This man served as head of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), and then joined the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.

"His deputy was once the acting head of the SVR, and now Rustem Umerov has arrived," the journalist described the chronology of the personnel changes in the intelligence agency.

"Imagine the state of this agency's employees, who are supposed to work secretly in the interests of the state in various countries. It's just that—we just listed them, I think they've had five new leaders," Tkach said.
